Events 2.0 Plus Is Here: What It Offers

The latest release of our Events 2.0 features great new functionality for both administrators and event attendees. All these new features are now live in your administrative console. To ensure the new app functionality is live, please contact your account manager so they can push a new build for you. Remember, a new build can only be pushed if your Apple Developer Account is in good standing, to do this, make sure you have accepted the latest terms and conditions and renewed your account.

The new features, described in more detail with photos below, include the following:

  1. New Administrative Console Table and Event specific tabs to enable easier event creation and management.
  2. New Search for filtering and locating information you are looking for.
  3. New content designations in the Event App designer allowing for specific and protected content just for speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, and attendees.
  4. The ability to set up targeted notifications to just speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, and attendees if needed.
  5. Enhances profiles for sponsors and exhibitors along with in-app editing.
  6. The ability to hide any attendee from directory listings.
  7. Support for multiple tracks, types and levels can be assigned to any session and appear in the app.

New in the Console – Events Landing Page

Clicking on the Events main menu icon now lands you on the following page. This new landing page table provides many new features and enhancements

  1. A new import/export tool that provides a quick and easy way to ‘copy an event’ or just to import new event data
  2. New controls that provide flexibility in the table layout including filtering at the column level
  3. Ability to select fields you wish to display and expand or contract the table

New in the Console – New/Edit an Event

After selecting a specific event, new or old, you will now see a new ’tab’ interface that provides a much more intuitive flow for each event.

  1. New tabs to walk you through every aspect of creating and managing an event
  2. Any tab that has associated content will drop down with a new tab for additional related content
  3. You will also note that the Event name and sub tab names are constant as you move through each tab

New in the Console – New/Edit Event Sessions

In addition to the new tab interface, each tab supports the new table functionality as mentioned and highlighted earlier.

App Designer Content – Unique Content for Speakers, Sponsors and Exhibitors

Speakers, Sponsors & Exhibitors now have unique ‘roles’ and thus you can create content within the event just for their eyes.

New Notification Communication to Speakers, Sponsors & Exhibitors

Speakers, Sponsors, & Exhibitors now have unique ‘roles’ and thus you can send notifications to these groups at any time.

New in the App – Console Tools for Session Listing, Details and Files

Several new additions to make the attendee app experience even greater.

  1. Sessions now support ‘same name’ with different durations
  2. Sessions now support multiple tracks, types, and levels

New in the App – Viewable Attendee Data Management

Explore the flexibility of attendee data.

  1. All attendee profile fields can be turned on/off for viewing from the app.
  2. Reminder: We added the ability to ‘hide’ any attendee from the Attendee directory a couple of months ago. This option appears at the attendee record level.
